A Message about No Hiatus
In the words of Maya Angelou, "If you get, give. If you learn, teach."
No Hiatus was born out of a need to fill the gap of mentorship and education that many have felt was missing from the animation community. If there’s one thing that animation professionals and newcomers to the industry agree on, it’s that there's a need for more specific and relevant information to be passed onto those who are unfamiliar with the industry.
As someone who was once fresh-faced and new, I understand the importance of having a mentor you can go to when you feel lost or hopeless about your career path. And while I was fortunate to have great mentors in my life, I realize that there are many people out there who never get the opportunity for themselves. I started No Hiatus because the time felt right to step up and do my part to make this community better in whatever way I can. As a mentor, I can share my time and knowledge with anyone who is determined to reach their goals and improve themselves.
I'm confident that the services provided here will be useful to anyone who needs it, and I hope everyone who visits the site knows that they are all welcome. As long as you’re open to realizing that this journey into animation is a process, then I'm sure we can help you.
After graduating from RISD, Tiara started working in the animation industry as an intern at Nickelodeon. From there, she went on to work at Cartoon Network before ending up at Disney TV.
As her time as co-host for The Animation Network started to wind down, she came up with the idea for No Hiatus. While talking with friends, she realized there was more she could do to improve the industry and has been working on it ever since.
In her free time, she likes to spend it hanging out with friends, eating good food, helping others, and petting dogs.
